Michael Duff covered the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone from when the first cases were reported in the east of the country until the end of Ebola and into the post-Ebola recovery period. Michael has worked with burial teams, treatment units, social mobilisers, The United Nations, and many others producing content for some of the world's leading broadcasters and organisations.

Michael’s work during the Ebola outbreak has been recognised with various awards and exhibitions including a shortlisting and exhibition with the highly respected Wellcome Trust Photo Prize.

The Survivor Dream Project is working with women in Sierra Leone who have survived Ebola. As part of their first session the women participated in a make-over and photo shoot.

Anne Carey is an Australian volunteer nurse working at the Red Cross Ebola Treatment Centre in Kenema, Sierra Leone. The Sunday Times Magazine in Australia commissioned a series of photographs illustrating Anne's work in Sierra Leone.

UNICEF Sierra Leone distribute medicine as part of the national Free Health Care initiative which aims to provide free healthcare to children under five and pregnant women.

As part of the British response to the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone the ship RFA Argus was stationed off the coast of Freetown providing logistical support and manpower to the fight against Ebola.

RFA Argus is equipped with three Royal Navy Merlin helicopters used to transport building materials, food supply, and personnel around the country. 

In 2018 Michael travelled to the remote district of Kailahun in Sierra Leone to photograph and video an emergency Measles vaccination program with WHO.

In 2012 we travelled into Kawthoolei, a region in the east of Burma where the Karen people are struggling for peace against the Burmese Junta. We travelled on foot with the Karen National Liberation Army to visit internally displaced people.

In 2013 and 2015 Michael travelled with Concern Worldwide documenting their development projects focused on education, nutrition, and maternal health.

The Italian NGO EMERGENCY operate a trauma centre and paediatric centre in the west of Freetown offering free healthcare to those who need it most.

At the National Stadium in Freetown, Sierra Leone, polio survivors and amputees hold a football tournament.
